Larmer Tree — £184 (5 days), £150 (4) or £120 (3)
July 14–18, Salisbury, Wiltshire
Hardly cheap and hardly large but Larmer tree is renowned for it’s relaxed atmosphere. If you live in the country down south then I’m sure you will know of Larmer tree. Martha Wainright, Russell Howard and Rich Hall will be there.

Lattitude Festival — £165 or £65 for a day
15–18 July, Suffolk
certainly one of our favourite festivals, the line up’s fairly good, sporting Florence & the Machine, Mumford & Sons and the Macabees but with some festivals the line up just doesn’t matter. So long as you have a friend or two to come with you, at festivals like Lattitude, Bestival and the Big Chill the atmosphere is out of this world. It genuinely feels like a whole another place, men in tutus, music all day and all night and funny coloured sheep as what you will find at Lattitude.

Guilfest – £100 or £40 per day
16–18 July, Guilford, Surrey
Once voted the best family festival, Guilfest used to be renowned for one to take the kids to, but as time passes it seems to be one to take the parents too, or not if you so wish. N-Dubz, tinnie Tempah & chase and Status are performing as well as a few other’s for your parents. This is, if you haven’t already spotted it, a prime opportunity for “Mummy and Daddy” to buy you tickets, just tell them that there’s a 70’s disco.

Lovebox – £45, £80 or £99 depending on how many days
16–18 July, Victoria Park, London
Not bad on first impressions, not only the convienince of it being situated in London but with Dizee, Chase & Status, Noisettes, Bombay Bicicyle cluba dn Paloma faith, if you’re around and you have the cash it’s worth going to.

Global Gathering — £120
July 30 – 31, Stratford upon avon
If you like dance music then you don’t really get lineups better than Faithless, Dizzee, 2manydj’s, chase & status, Armin van Burren, Carl cox, Eric Prydz, LCD Soundsystem, Sub Focus and Steve Aoki. I could go on forever, if you don’t know many of them then you will just have to trust us when we say that they are some of the best dance dj’s and acts in the world. Know onto the Dubstep and grimier lot; James Zabiela, Adam Beyer, Sub focus, Joris Voorn, Andy C, Fake Bloood, Kissy Sell out………………

Camp Bestival — £155
July 30 – August 1, Lulworth Castle, Dorset
The family version of Bestival, situated in Dorset’s beatuful country boasts many acts from it’s larger parent. The line up is more suited towards teenagers than the typical “family” stereo type. Acts include Calvin Harris, Chipmunk, Annie Mac, Jakwob, Jack Beats, Tinnie Tempah, Ellie Goulding and Tim Minchin.
